about

The first single from the new album was written by Houstonians who have protested the immigrant detention facilities during Trump, and find themselves still having to protest during the Biden administration. It contrasts the words from Emma Lazarus' famous poem “The New Colossus,” which is inscribed on the Statue of Liberty with Kamala Harris' disgusting message to Guatemalans, “I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making the dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border — do not come, do not come.”

lyrics

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Biden sent Harris to visit the border yearning for a photo op,
But the words she said reminded us of Trump --
"Do not come. Do not come," said Kamala to the cameras.
"Take your tired poor huddled asses back wherever the hell they came from"
