about

D-Ology has been collaborating with Free Radicals since their first recordings in 1996. He's a Louisiana native H town bred (in the same hood as George Floyd). Known as a freestyle and battle rapper, D is known as one of Houston's longest standing and best rappers. He said about Free Radicals: "The motley crew of cool artists that make up Free Radicals make it easy to vibe with 'em. Free Radicals stand front line on touchy issues. A melting pot of hot bubbly get down. I'm glad I was asked to be a part of it."

This track is about the Houston race riot of 1917. He calls out the racist law enforcement hate machine, "from whips and chains to Jim Crowe template -- same thing 24th regiment was in for then -- keep spinning to be continued to this day: disdain for a Black fist raised."

Without a phone, electricity, food or water, and with bombs dropping all around him and his daughter, we hope he's still alive and not in pain.
